I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody
Just so you know, I changed my link. From http://dirini.blogspot.com to http://mabaz.blogspot.com. Well, it comes from Mawaddah ABdul AZiz. I just thought if you would like to know why so I tell :).
Okay, so the above quote is really related to me. I know all of us wanted attention, the only difference is, you want SO MUCH attention or you want THE LEAST attention from other people. So to fulfill the feeling of getting the attention, you would do everything to please people. Or you just want to have fun or you want some friends. Am I right? This is general and true.
But scratch that. Many people said that if you are always to please people, you wont even move. It will make you like a slave. You would do everything to please people so that you'll be loved. This is why sometimes selfish is important. No, I'm not saying being selfish is good but you have to have it so that people wont step on you. Being selfish might hurt, but it's good to be yourself. What we do must hit the right place. There are times you need to be selfish so that you can actually succeed. If we always listen to what others say, we wont be moving at all.
What important here is, be yourself. Do not do something that only pleases everybody but not you. You need to enjoy life and sometimes people must please you also. Do not ever feel guilty of being selfish sometimes. BUT dont be TOO selfish. I have to admit, trying to please everybody is tiring, I have my own limit. Different people, different tastes and such. Even if you trying to please everybody that doesnt mean everybody is pleased or even grateful. Try not to please everybody, but being an understanding person is the best :)
Pleasing everybody makes people do not think of understandings. By being an understanding person you might actually please people. Being understanding doesn't mean you have to agree on everything of what people had said. Being understanding is you know what is right and wrong for the person you are trying to understand. You try to comfort them, advise them and be there for them.
So there my long writings. I am not good in explaining things but I'm sure I'll do better next time. This is actually a very last minute post hahaha.
